1.   HOLY BIBLE

 We believe the Old and New Testament of the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God - the only sufficient and authoritative rule for the redemption and salvation of lost humanity -  and are sufficient for addressing all matters of Christian faith and practice.

 

2.   THE TRINITY 

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

 

3.   DEITY OF CHRIST 

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles and teachings, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal and imminent second coming in power and glory.

 

4.   NECESSITY OF REDEMPTION 

We believe in the failure of humanity, humanities moral depravity, and the necessity of the New Birth.  We further believe that the only means of salvation is that which God has provided through the atoning death of His Son on the cross of Calvary.

 

5.   JUSTIFICATION-REGENERATION 

We believe in justification by faith, apart from works.  We believe that marvelous experience may be ours through true repentance for all of our sins, genuine faith in the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, and the acceptance of the forgiving love of Almighty God. In this divine act, the Believer is regenerated and becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus.

 

6.   SANCTIFICATION 

We believe in the experience of entire sanctification  - subsequent to regeneration, through the total surrender of our lives and our wills to God. In this specific act of faith, commitment and submission to Almighty God, we believe that we may be filled with God’s Holy Spirit which will result in heart purity, perfect love and divine empowerment for victorious living and dedicated service to God.

 

7.   THE RESURRECTION 

We believe in the resurrection of the body to a new spiritual dimension - eternal life in heaven for the redeemed and eternal punishment in hell for those who persistently reject the love of God as has been expressed through the atoning and redeeming love of Jesus Christ.

 

8.   THE TRUE CHURCH 

We believe that the true church is the Body of Christ, the community of faithful Believers in the message of the Holy Scriptures concerning Jesus Christ, whose express purpose is to live out in their lives in proclaiming the message of God’s plan for salvation to a world lost in sin and darkness.

 

9.   TOTAL STEWARDSHIP OF LIFE 

We believe in the total stewardship of life. Worship, prayers, time, talents, gifts, and  service are all due our Lord, who made the perfect sacrifice on Mt. Calvary. Diligent stewardship includes the tithing of our income to the Local Church, daily and consistent Christian witness in all of society, and loyal support to the corporate services of worship and learning afforded by the church.

 

10. GIFTS FOR MINISTRY 

We believe the Holy Spirit imparts the needed spiritual gifts to every Believer whereby the Body of Christ is edified and strengthened, and Almighty God is glorified. We believe that these gifts enable the Christian to fulfill the Great Commission of witnessing Christ to the world and working for social justice and loving goodwill to all humanity.

 

11. THE PRIESTHOOD OF ALL BELIEVERS 

We believe that God calls every Christian to be a minister of Jesus Christ within the framework of his own family, vocation, church, and the society in which he lives.

 

12. CHRISTIAN MATURITY 

We believe that the Christian must continually grow toward full maturity through diligent Bible study, a consistent prayer life, the development of Christ-like disciplines, regular and consistent worship attendance, fellowshipping with other Christians, and the exhibition of the “Fruit of the Spirit” through communion with the Holy Spirit.
